Thronateeska Heritage Center

Located in Heritage Plaza remains one of the oldest Train Depots in the State of GA. On our brick street our History Museum is housed in our historic 1912 Train Station with our Train Exhibit. In the passenger car is our model train exhibit. Built in 2008, we have a new High Definition, surround sound, full dome Planetarium and science museum, the first in the world of its kind. The Railway Express Building houses Southwest Georgia’s Archives. Also in Heritage Plaza is the Fryer-Merritt House built in the 1800’s. We have educational group tours daily. Call for reservation.
